The love affair continues...
This has been a really exciting year for us at Kimberly Baker Jewelry. We had some truly amazing press come out and one that we're truly proud of is the NYLON issue with Mary-Kate on the cover. I've already blogged about it but I have unearthed a video of the photo shoot and Wolfie is ALL over it.
Check it out to see the ring and to see the cuteness that is Mary-Kate Olsen.

as seen on tv.
I've had a few questions about which exact pieces were seen on Gossip Girl, so I'm going to do my best to update the blog weekly, if there happens to be a Kimberly Baker piece featured.
In last week's episode, "Blair Waldorf must Pie"there were two different necklaces used throughout the episode.
Jenny, played by Taylor Momsen, wore the Gwendolyn necklace in Sterling Silver. You can't see it super well in this shot, but we promise, it really truly is that necklace.
Serena, played by Blake Lively, wore the Mini Kissing Swallows in 18kt Gold Vermeil.
And, if you're watching the show and you're wondering to yourself, is that a Kimberly Baker piece? It might just be. So, shoot us an email at orders@kimberlybaker.com and we'll verify it for you.
Don't forget to watch tomorrow night!
All orders over $200 receive free shipping until the end of the month!

when mary-kate met wolfie...
Hey y'all! Hope everyone had a nice and relaxing holiday weekend! Well, we came back to work to find out we had some pretty exciting new press that we wanted to share with everyone. We knew we were going to be in the Dec/Jan issue of Nylon for the Carmen necklace, but we had no idea that the Wolfette ring would be featured on Mary-Kate's little finger. So, here I present to all of you faithful blog readers, pictures from this pretty awesome photo shoot. And, currently the Silver Wolfette Ring in size 6 is on back-order but we are taking special orders to have before the holidays.
Here's some additional press that we got this month from November's Zink Magazine as well. It features the Crown Heart Ring.
Don't forget to watch Gossip Girl tonight!!!

Gossip Girl Screen Caps
So after much time spent scouring the internet for screen caps, I am proud to post some screen caps from past Gossip Girl episodes that feature Kimberly Baker Jewelry. There has been a lot of our jewelry on the show and trust me, it was not easy finding these shots but this is just a taste of the awesome exposure the jewels have been receiving. You have to tune in to get the full effect.
This shot is from the episode, Poison Ivy. Actress, Leighton Meester, who plays Blair is wearing the Kelly necklace in 18 kt Gold Vermeil.
These are two different screen caps from the episode, Dare Devil. Actress Blake Lively, who plays Serena, is wearing the Heidi earrings in Sterling Silver.
Here's actress, Nan Zhang, who plays Kati, wearing the Bird in Hand coin necklace and the Gift Horse Coin Necklace, both in 18 kt Gold Vermeil. This is from episode, The Handmaidens Tale.
Actress Jessica Szohr, who plays Vanessa, wears the Sterling Silver Oona Earrings on episode, The Handmaiden's Tale.
Actress Taylor Momsen, who plays Jenny, is wearing the Dolly Necklace in Sterling Silver on episode, The Handmaidens Tale. Taylor also wears the Danny Ring in 18kt Gold Vermeil in the beginning of the episode as well.
Phew. Well, there you have it. Like I said, it's just a taste, really.

it's been a while.
Well, time has really flown by. I can't believe a month has gone by and still no post.
Well, i'm back and it's time to update y'all on what's been happening around Kimberly Baker Jewelry.
Now that November has crept up on us and Seattle is getting colder by the day, you know what that means. The holidays are coming. It's time to make your KBJ wishlist and pass that along to your honey. And, as always, the holidays mean holiday hours. Starting the week of Thanksgiving, we will be open till 7 on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays. And of course, if you have a Kimberly Baker emergency, you can always call to make an appointment with us.
If you haven't already, you need to check out the CW's Gossip Girl. I know, I know. I've probably overextended the amount of time I'm allowed to gush about this show but, whatever. It's good and it's a Kimberly Baker explosion. I counted about 6 pieces in last week's episode. What? Yes! I love it. Can't get enough! So, please. Do yourself a huge favor and stay in on Wednesday nights and check out Gossip Girl. It's on right after America's Next Top Model on Wednesdays. Watch it. You won't regret it. I promise this.
We launched some new ads in the Stranger a few weeks ago that will run until the end of the year. It features pictures from our Lookbooks.
So, what are you waiting for? Make plans to hang out in Fremont. It's cold out there but i've got the heat cranked and start your holiday shopping right.

Gossip Girl, yesss.
Oh, Gossip Girl, how i love thee. It's as if the television gods listened to my prayers and granted me with this impossibly good television show. And on top of it being one of my very favorite things to do on a Wednesday night, they love our jewelry too.
So, as of right now, they've featured us twice. Here's a screen cap from Episode 2, the Wild Brunch, where Serena is seen sporting the Ziggy bracelet. On their website, they have links to all of the stuff that the cast is wearing. I think that's so brilliant. I can't think of how many times I've wanted to buy the stuff people were wearing on shows and could not figure out how. Genius!
In the episode that aired last night, I literally jumped off of my couch and yelled the name of the necklace, "KELLY!" My neighbors probably think i'm nuts. Blair, who is fantastically bitchy, was wearing the Kelly necklace in Gold. I feel like I'm some sort of stage mom with this stuff. I'm just so darn proud that the jewelry looks as great as it does. I'm a total Kimberly Baker nerd.

i'm not crying, it's just been raining on my face....
Sigh, Well it's another gloriously rainy day in Seattle. Perfect time to get a blog in. Things have been pretty crazy around here at Kimberly Baker Jewelry. Kim just jetted off for a much needed 2-week vacation in Italy. (I know, I know..her life really sucks) I'm holding down the fort and it's pretty lonely without her. We just launched our new collection that is now available on our website. Those of you who have kept up with the blog would have already gotten a glimpse of it, but now you can purchase it and see them with professional photographs and not just my amateur try at it. We also have some new earrings that I never got around to putting up on the blog as well. If you're a fan of our previous laser cut earrings (i.e. Lexi, Lidia, Heidi) you'll love these. They're at a really affordable price and they're super amazing.
We were also featured in this month's Seattle Metropolitan Magazine. I have to admit that I'm not one to take too fondly to the fashion in Seattle, but this spread is pretty good. I didn't think I'd ever see a day when there was such a well-styled layout. Kudos to the stylists and Seattle Metropolitan for such an amazing job.
The model on the left is wearing the Phoenix Rising earrings in Gold ($198) and the Maude ($165) and Crown Heart Ring ($240) both in Gold. The model on the right is rocking the Maude in Gold($165) and the Wolfette in Silver ($198) rings.
In other amazingly wonderful news, If you haven't already caught the newest and greatest show, Gossip Girls, get on it! Not only is it a taste of some amazingly juicy teen drama (which i personally, can't get enough of), the ladies on that show are rocking some serious Kimberly Baker Jewelry. Keep an eye out for our stuff. It's on there. Wednesdays 9:00 on the CW.

Whew. Well the summer has officially ended up here in Seattle. The rain has returned and we're back to it. I can't really say that i mind, though. There's something oddly comforting about the rain in Seattle.
Well, let's get to it. We have been shown some serious love this month from some serious magazines.
The October Issue of Lucky (which is on stands now) featured our Keiko ring in Gold for a "my foolproof outfit" piece. The ring is also featured as a Lucky Breaks discount piece for the month of October as well. You'll have to pick up the issue to get that secret code, though.
The October Issue of SELF showed us some love this time around too. This time they jet-setted our jewelry off to Ireland for a romantic photoshoot with an amazing background. The featured pieces in these two pictures are the Crown Heart ring in 18kt Gold Vermeil and the Crown Heart Necklace (worn as a bracelet) in 18kt Gold Vermeil.
We're also featured in the newest edition of INStyle Makeover with Ali Larter on the cover. It's been a busy summer over here at Kimberly Baker Jewelry. Can't wait for the fall!

you've got the BEST of my love...
Oh man! It's been a really awesome week here at Kimberly Baker Jewelry. The Seattle Weekly's Best of Seattle issue hit the stands on Wednesday and we were bestowed with the honor of being Seattle's Best Local Indie Jewelry Designer. Yippee! Below is a scan of the article with a nice interview with Kim. If you haven't already, pick up the issue. Not only are we featured in it, but it's jam packed with other goodies from our area. Also, if you're not a Seattle resident, you can check it out on their website.
http://www.seattleweekly.com/bestof/2007/arts-culture-adornment/339898/
Kim also just returned from her jaunt to Portland for Le Train Bleu's trunk show. She reported back that it was a great success and loads of fun! I wish I was there to document the whole fete but alas..we can only imagine how much fun was had by all. Kim's away again this week checking out the scene at Market (a super important trade show), doing some much-needed shopping (so jealous!), and surviving in some serious sweltering weather (so not jealous!) I can just imagine Kim right now waltzing around the Lower East Side decked out with all of her jewels and being spotted by all the important people! Can't wait to get a full report.
And in other super fabulous news, it looks as if Kimberly Baker's Jewelry will be making a few guest appearances on a new fall show sure to be the best thing ever! Rumor has it that our jewelry will be adorned by a certain fabulous new starlet on a show that I, personally, can't wait for! More details to come...
OOOOH! And finally, we have some new pieces that I will post pictures and prices of later today. If you loved the lazercut earrings i.e. Lidia, Lexi, and Heidi, you will love these new little guys!
Woot! I'm out.

I think this is the best costume for today.
It's that time again. Our weekly post. In case you haven't been paying attention, we've made it our business to leave a little sumthin' sumthin' for all of you fabulous blog readers every Sunday.
Well, let's see. This week we were featured on the website, http://www.nwsource.com. Kim was interviewed and there's a little photo of Sally Seahorse on there too. The write-up focuses mainly on our nautical theme which is pretty rich throughout the line.
http://blog.nwsource.com/shopping/archives/daily_find/072707_baker.html
Kim was also photographed and interviewed for the upcoming Best of Seattle edition of Seattle Weekly. I'll post all that goodness up when it arrives.
On another note, I watched the Edie Sedgwick masterpiece, Ciao! Manhattan last night. I consider myself a bit of a 60's fanatic and it finally arrived via Netflix. Oh my goodness. One of the most interesting films I've ever seen. The plot is kind of hard to follow and some of the characters are so completely wacked-out and bizarre, and Edie spends about 95% of the movie topless. It's such a cool glimpse into the 60's and the world of the factory. She was pretty rad and albeit tragic.

Some kind of wonderful.
So, we're on the last day of our sale and unfortunately, the Seattle weather is just not as cooperative as we would hope. It's been raining all day and it when it's not raining, it's muggy. Not the most condusive weather for shopping.
However, things are looking up. The rain has lifted and we can see more people coming out to play.
So, i've decided to post a couple of pictures lifted from Face Hunter and The Sartorialist. We're just so in love with these looks and we deemed it appropriate to post some of them. We would really love to add a few Kimberly Baker pieces to these kids as well.
Adorable. Perhaps she could add the Ziggy Bracelet or better yet, the Wolfette Ring in Silver.
All I ever want to do is walk around dressed like a little girl straight out of a Walter Keane painting. Big eyes, short dress, and adorable footwear. Let's see...she needs the gold and silver Keiko rings stacked on one finger and the Bunny Charm Necklace in Gold.
Okay. So, I just put this one up because I cannot believe how adorable this guy looks. I really wish boys in America would feel secure enough to rock a little girl's top. So beyond cute. And I'm guessing that this guy would probably shop at Kimberly Baker as well. You gotta love a secure man. I know I do.
