We're getting set to launch a new collection here at KBJ and I thought now would be an appropriate time to post some pictures of the pieces. These will go live on the website in due time but here's some professional and some not so professional shots of some our newest babies. I've also added some pieces that we only offer in the store. We only offer some in very limited quantities, so not only are they gorgeous, but you'll probably be one of the only lucky ladies to ever get to rock them. Scroll down to peep these gems. The pheasant was kind enough to let me shoot him with some on.

Arrow Locket: Sterling Silver, $170, this is the first locket Kim has ever done. What you can't see is the adorable little horseshoe on the clasp that makes for the perfect little accent on the necklace.

Sting Ray Cuff: Sterling Silver and 18kt Gold Vermeil, $725 (As a side note, this cuff is just the start of something great. We have a sting ray necklace, earrings, and another incredibly sick ring coming out as well. Trust me on this one, you should start saving your money now....)

If you're a Kimberly Baker junkie, you will probably recognize this piece. It's a bracelet that we carried long ago and have since taken it out of the line. It's been brought back in gold and we think it's better than ever!

Okay...

Let's get to it. After weeks of some trouble with our new scanner, I've finally mastered the art of scanning some new press. We've been pretty popular recently and here's some shots to show you.

We were recently featured in the May issue of NYLON Magazine as part of a Gossip Girl spread. In case you've been living in a cave, GG is the newest teen soap that just recently finished its first season on the CW. We were lucky enough to have our pieces so beautifully featured on the show and they chose our stuff to style this shoot as well:

Here's a rundown of the jewelry on the ladies in these shots. First picture: Blake aka Serena is wearing the Anais Necklace in 18kt GV. Second picture: Blake has on the Maude ring in 18kt GV, aka her "signature S ring." Third Picture: Leighton aka Blair is wearing the Dolly Necklace in Sterling Silver. We were also featured in the May issue of CosmoGIRL with actress, Brittany Snow on the cover.

We here at KBJ need a break. So, we'll be closing our doors this Memorial Day Weekend and hoping there's some sunshine to boot!

Be advised that we will be closed Friday, May 23 through the weekend and will reopen our doors on Tuesday, May 27 at noon.

During this time, we will not be able to respond to emails or any internet orders. All orders through the website will be processed on Tuesday upon our return.

If you live in Seattle and you are not outside right now, SHAME ON YOU.

It's a sweaty 87 degrees here in the Emerald City and it's blowing my jewelry-loving mind.

It's so funny when the sun shines and the temperature rises in this city. We Seattlelites act like it's the first sunshine we've seen in ages, well it kinda is. The pale legs of winter start creeping up and days spent in the park with pals are back.

Since I get to watch all you hot girls and boys from our large store-front windows enjoying the much needed Vitamin D today, I'm going to take this opportunity to update y'all on the recent happs here at KBJ.

We've gotten some great press as of recent. We're featured in the new issue of NYLON Magazine with the lovely ladies from Gossip Girl on the cover. The loveliest of the lovely stylist, Daniela Jung outfitted the gals with some killer pieces. Included are Serena's "signature S" ring, aka the Maude, the Dolly Necklace, and the often overlooked but equally amazing, Anais Necklace. As everyone knows, I can't get enough of that show. On the show, the evil Georgina, is sporting the HOT HOT HOT Wolfette ring, which we all know by now is a fave among the sassy starlets. I have to say I started watching that guilty pleasure just for work (or at least that's what I wanted everyone to know) but I gotta say, GG rivals my very favorite and truly the OG teen drama, 90210. You'd never see the West Beverly gang get into the conundrums and ridiculousness that Serena and her gaggle of uber rich, overly sophisticated kids get into. Okay, before I start to wax philosophical on the merits of teen dramas, let's get to the real stuff.

Here's a shot from NYLON with the girls. I'm experiencing a few technical difficulties today. Apparently, the scanner knows its too hot to work too....*hint, hint. Pictures to come this next week. If you're feeling it, run out to the newstand and check it! We're also in the new CosmoGIRL with cutie Brittany Snow on the cover. Aaaaaaand, we'll be on next month's NYLON with Scarlett Johanssen as well.

It's that time again. The sun is finally starting to peek it's little head out of those nasty Seattle clouds. There's more daylight and I have some serious spring fever! And more importantly, Gossip Girl is about to start airing new episodes in a matter of weeks!

As they begin shooting the new episodes in New York, it becomes easier and easier to get shots of the cast on set. We came across this picture of Michelle Trachtenburg, who's guest starring on the show.

We're extending our hours for the impending spring/summertime season!

Now that we have many more hours of daylight left, we are going to be open a little later for your jewelry shopping needs.

The new store hours that start this week are:

Monday: CLOSED
Tuesday: 12-6
Wednesday: 12-6
Thursday: 11-7
Friday: 11-7
Saturday: 11-7
Sunday: 11-5

and as always, by appointment.

Also, as some of you may have noticed, the prices on some of our pieces have gone up. Unfortunately, we have become a casualty of the ever increasing prices of silver and gold. The effects of this are as far reaching as here in Seattle. We hate to do it, but it's unfortunately, the way of the world.

Also, we're in the midst of getting our new collection ready to go live on the website. If you've been able to make it into our store, you've probably gotten to see some of the new pieces in person and already know how great they are. The other pieces that will be accompanying them are straight up AMAZING! I can't wait till we get them on here for you all to see!

Girl, you get around.

Whew. My girl, Liv, gets around. Lady Liv has been seen ALL over the place.

First, she's hanging out with Blake Lively from Gossip Girl on the show.

Then, she's seen later that week going to a premiere with Blake.

And now, do my eyes decieve me? She's seen with KellyAnne, a cast member from The Real World Sydney, acting all flashy on their Reunion Show. (I dare you not to click on that video. You know you love The Real World. Just give in, already.)

Where will Liv turn up next? How will I ever keep up? Maybe she's hanging out with you? Well, I'll admit it. She is pretty cute. I think I kinda want to hang out with her now.

This has been a really exciting year for us at Kimberly Baker Jewelry. We had some truly amazing press come out and one that we're truly proud of is the NYLON issue with Mary-Kate on the cover. I've already blogged about it but I have unearthed a video of the photo shoot and Wolfie is ALL over it.

PulpLab Holiday Shopping Event

Next week, Kimberly Baker Jewelry will be in Ballard for a new and exciting shopping experience.

PulpLab, in Ballard, is a gallery-like space that showcases local designers and artists. Starting next week, they will be launching a six-day holiday shopping lounge. The first three nights are devoted to parties focused on specific vendors.

Champagne and niblets will be on hand, as well as a USnaps photo booth.

December 18 from 6-10, Alula Clothing will be showcased.
December 19 from 5-9, Sweet Nina's Body Polishes will be showcased.
and on December 20 from 5-9, it's Kimberly Baker Jewelry, along with Stolen Chicken cards and Kat Larson.

If you're in Ballard, you should come check it out. It's going to be a lot of fun.

I've had a few questions about which exact pieces were seen on Gossip Girl, so I'm going to do my best to update the blog weekly, if there happens to be a Kimberly Baker piece featured.

In last week's episode, "Blair Waldorf must Pie"there were two different necklaces used throughout the episode.

Jenny, played by Taylor Momsen, wore the Gwendolyn necklace in Sterling Silver. You can't see it super well in this shot, but we promise, it really truly is that necklace.

Serena, played by Blake Lively, wore the Mini Kissing Swallows in 18kt Gold Vermeil.

Hey y'all! Hope everyone had a nice and relaxing holiday weekend! Well, we came back to work to find out we had some pretty exciting new press that we wanted to share with everyone. We knew we were going to be in the Dec/Jan issue of Nylon for the Carmen necklace, but we had no idea that the Wolfette ring would be featured on Mary-Kate's little finger. So after much time spent scouring the internet for screen caps, I am proud to post some screen caps from past Gossip Girl episodes that feature Kimberly Baker Jewelry. There has been a lot of our jewelry on the show and trust me, it was not easy finding these shots but this is just a taste of the awesome exposure the jewels have been receiving. You have to tune in to get the full effect.

This shot is from the episode, Poison Ivy. Actress, Leighton Meester, who plays Blair is wearing the Kelly necklace in 18 kt Gold Vermeil.

Well, time has really flown by. I can't believe a month has gone by and still no post.

Well, i'm back and it's time to update y'all on what's been happening around Kimberly Baker Jewelry.

Now that November has crept up on us and Seattle is getting colder by the day, you know what that means. The holidays are coming. It's time to make your KBJ wishlist and pass that along to your honey. And, as always, the holidays mean holiday hours. Starting the week of Thanksgiving, we will be open till 7 on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays. And of course, if you have a Kimberly Baker emergency, you can always call to make an appointment with us.

If you haven't already, you need to check out the CW's Gossip Girl. I know, I know. I've probably overextended the amount of time I'm allowed to gush about this show but, whatever. It's good and it's a Kimberly Baker explosion. I counted about 6 pieces in last week's episode. What? Yes! I love it. Can't get enough! So, please. Do yourself a huge favor and stay in on Wednesday nights and check out Gossip Girl. It's on right after America's Next Top Model on Wednesdays. Watch it. You won't regret it. I promise this.

We launched some new ads in the Stranger a few weeks ago that will run until the end of the year. It features pictures from our Lookbooks.

Oh, Gossip Girl, how i love thee. It's as if the television gods listened to my prayers and granted me with this impossibly good television show. And on top of it being one of my very favorite things to do on a Wednesday night, they love our jewelry too.

So, as of right now, they've featured us twice. Here's a screen cap from Episode 2, the Wild Brunch, where Serena is seen sporting the Ziggy bracelet. On their website, they have links to all of the stuff that the cast is wearing. I think that's so brilliant. I can't think of how many times I've wanted to buy the stuff people were wearing on shows and could not figure out how. Genius!

In the episode that aired last night, I literally jumped off of my couch and yelled the name of the necklace, "KELLY!" My neighbors probably think i'm nuts. Blair, who is fantastically bitchy, was wearing the Kelly necklace in Gold. I feel like I'm some sort of stage mom with this stuff. I'm just so darn proud that the jewelry looks as great as it does. I'm a total Kimberly Baker nerd.

Sigh, Well it's another gloriously rainy day in Seattle. Perfect time to get a blog in. Things have been pretty crazy around here at Kimberly Baker Jewelry. Kim just jetted off for a much needed 2-week vacation in Italy. (I know, I know..her life really sucks) I'm holding down the fort and it's pretty lonely without her. We just launched our new collection that is now available on our website. Those of you who have kept up with the blog would have already gotten a glimpse of it, but now you can purchase it and see them with professional photographs and not just my amateur try at it. We also have some new earrings that I never got around to putting up on the blog as well. If you're a fan of our previous laser cut earrings (i.e. Lexi, Lidia, Heidi) you'll love these. They're at a really affordable price and they're super amazing.

We were also featured in this month's Seattle Metropolitan Magazine. I have to admit that I'm not one to take too fondly to the fashion in Seattle, but this spread is pretty good. I didn't think I'd ever see a day when there was such a well-styled layout. Kudos to the stylists and Seattle Metropolitan for such an amazing job.

Not only is it a taste of some amazingly juicy teen drama (which i personally, can't get enough of), the ladies on that show are rocking some serious Kimberly Baker Jewelry. Keep an eye out for our stuff. It's on there. Wednesdays 9:00 on the CW.

Whew. Well the summer has officially ended up here in Seattle. The rain has returned and we're back to it. I can't really say that i mind, though. There's something oddly comforting about the rain in Seattle.

Well, let's get to it. We have been shown some serious love this month from some serious magazines.

The October Issue of Lucky (which is on stands now) featured our Keiko ring in Gold for a "my foolproof outfit" piece. The ring is also featured as a Lucky Breaks discount piece for the month of October as well. You'll have to pick up the issue to get that secret code, though.

The October Issue of SELF showed us some love this time around too. This time they jet-setted our jewelry off to Ireland for a romantic photoshoot with an amazing background. The featured pieces in these two pictures are the Crown Heart ring in 18kt Gold Vermeil and the Crown Heart Necklace (worn as a bracelet) in 18kt Gold Vermeil.

We're also featured in the newest edition of INStyle Makeover with Ali Larter on the cover. It's been a busy summer over here at Kimberly Baker Jewelry. Can't wait for the fall!
