This week's installment of...

What fabulous piece of Kimberly Baker was featured on Gossip Girl?

This week it was the Fiona Necklace in 18kt Gold Vermeil.

The character, Hazel, was spotted wearing it in the scene where they convince Little J to sabotage Vanessa. OOh! I just live for the juice. Here's a shot. But, please. Just do yourself a favor and watch the episode. Trust. You will NOT be sorry.

Also, starting today, we are offering free ground shipping on the website. So, go ahead, order to your hearts content. The shipping will cost you NOTHING. You just need to plug in the code FREESHIP08 at checkout and you're set.

Happy Holidays.

happy thanksgiving.

I'm really in a serious state of shock right now that Thanksgiving has already managed to creep its way upon us. It feels like just yesterday we were ushering in 2008. Well, since the holiday season is now officially upon us, let's get this started.

First of all, Happy Thanksgiving to all of you. In a year that has brought much uncertainty and many of us have fallen on hard times, it's still appropriate to say thanks for all of the good things we still have in our lives. It can be difficult but still well worth it and dare i say, heartwarming.

One of the many things that both Kim and I have to be thankful for are YOU. All of the support for the line is amazing. As a thank you to all of you, we will be offering 20% off this weekend in the store and on the website. We encourage you to support your local businesses this holiday. Here are the many reasons why:

*It helps out the local economy.
*It's not the mall. Our neighborhood will be ALOT less hectic than most of the major shopping areas.
*Most boutiques are having sales right now.
*AMAZING customer service.

This year BLACK FRIDAY does not have to be so bleak. Come join us and enjoy the only discount we will be offering this holiday season. Tell your family and friends, forward them the links to your favorite pieces. If you can't make it into the store, you can make a purchase online with this code TURKEYDAY08 starting Friday, November 28 till Sunday, November 30. You can also make a purchase over the phone.

Have a Happy Thanksgiving! We'll see you this weekend.

money IS the root of all evil.

Whew. This week's been a doozie. We've been giving a renewed sense of hope. Things are starting to look up.

But, the economy still sucks.

So, in honor of our waning savings and this bleak state, we're offering a piece of jewelry that is befitting of the times at a discounted price.

The Root Coin Necklace and Root Coin Bracelet are both going for 25% off the retail price.

Ironic, huh?

Check the website. Sale won't last.

spooky, scary.

We hope everyone had a very Happy Halloween!

Last night the kiddies came out for the candy and we took a couple of choice shots to share with all of you.

These kids were HILARIOUS. I'm not sure if these kids should be watching this show but they were still an amazingly stellar re-creation of this duo. I saw adults who couldn't compete with these two.Can you guess who they are?

Here's Jo-Jo as our little rock lobster. You can tell how unbelievably stoked she was to be in the get-up. She did manage to score many treats for herself and the adoration of the entire neighborhood. Oh, Jolene! Why you gotta be so cute?

So, I'm a big Wizard of Oz fan. And, I have to put this adorable little girl on the website for the sheer reason that she rep'd Dorothy last night. Very well, I might add. Sadly, they don't make this costume in my size.

Well, that was our holiday. Hope everyone is recovering from the inevitable sugar crash that comes with the holiday. If I never look at another piece of chocolate, it will be too soon.

you know you love me. xoxo.

It's that time again! Gossip Girl has been so amazingly gracious to feature us again in this week's episode. Not once, but twice this week! And, oooh, what a juicy episode!

So, we met Agnes this week, the cute model friend of Jenny's who's bound to set her on a dangerous course. However, she was caught rocking the Isabella Necklace in Sterling Silver. This necklace, like many of Kimberly Baker's pieces, walk that fine line of delicate and feminine with strong and bold. I love this piece. It gives the illusion of many necklaces but they're all interconnected on one piece. It is most definitely a piece that will get you noticed.

This picture does not do it full justice but you can see those little doves dangling in what seems like mid-air.

OH! This week little J got a "rock and roll" makeover. I caught this one while looking for shots of Agnes, up above. Jenny's wearing the Bianca ring in 18kt GV. I love this ring. It's about time it got some on-screen love. And...she's also wearing the Courtney Necklace in 18kt GV.

Goodness me! I do love when little J goes bad and she's able to express her teen angst with some Kimberly Baker Jewelry. And, yes, I know these pictures are weak. However, you can go to www.cwtv.com to watch the episode in full..for FREE. Check it out.

Well, that's about it for me.

Until next time...

Now Available!

All of the new pieces are now available on the website for purchase! Kim really outdid herself with this collection and it is well worth checking out and collecting. Allow up to 6 weeks for some of the pieces. They're new and take a little more love than the others to become available.

It's not listed on the website but we are now starting to offer the Wolf and the Chief Joseph ring in men's sizes. You can pick up the Wolf in a size 10 and the Chief in a size 9. In addition, Blackbird, the most AMAZING men's boutique, is carrying our Chief ring as well as the 8 necklace on their blog. If you're interested in either of these rings for your man or for yourself, email us at orders@kimberlybaker.com

Also, you may have noticed that the SALE section is looking a little slim these days. The pieces that were on there have flown the coop. But, you may have also noticed that the Large Kissing Swallows necklace is now 50% off. This has been a long time favorite of many lovely ladies. We only have the 18kt gold vermeil left. So, if you've been waiting till just the right time to make it yours, you better make your move! We won't have them for very much longer...

Well, my pretty pets, enjoy your weekend!

new press!

OMG! Thank the heavens that Gossip Girl is back on the air. Well, in case you missed it, this week's episode did feature some Kimberly Baker. Jenny, played by Taylor Momsen, wore the Frida Earrings in 18kt Gold Vermeil. These are the actress' personal pair. She requested them after they ended the first season. Good to see she loves them so! We just sent them another round of jewelry for this season as well. Gossip Girl fashion has been ALL over the place. Everybody's talking about their stylist, Eric Daman, who is absolutely amazing at what he does. All the kids on that show look impeccable. OOhh! I just love it so much!

Here's a shot of Jenny wearing the earrings:

We've also been featured, rather prominently, in the new issue of Bust Magazine. Sarah Silverman graces their cover but open it up to see an absolutely beautiful spread featuring our pieces. Check it.

Obviously, the Nico Necklace in 18kt Gold Vermeil is very prominent in this shoot. The one model wears the necklace throughout the 5 page spread. Also featured is the Olivia Necklace in 18kt Gold Vermeil and the Feather Coin Necklace in Sterling Silver.

Fremont First Friday Sidewalk Sale.

Tomorrow's Friday, August 1, which means it's Fremont First Friday. It's the neighborhood's art walk, but tomorrow will also be an evening for shopping. From 3-8, most of the stores in the hood are participating and having a sidewalk sale. Not to be outdone by the Ballard folks from last week, we thought we'd get in on the action as well.

We'll have plenty of good offerings at great prices. We won't be perched on the sidewalk but come inside and check out the table devoted solely to discontinued items and samples. We'll also be offering 10% off everything else in the store, which includes some hot new pieces.

So, come by and check it out. The loot that everyone will have out is well worth the trip.

Wednesday, July 2, 2008

welcome to the club, guys.

We're getting set to launch a new collection here at KBJ and I thought now would be an appropriate time to post some pictures of the pieces. These will go live on the website in due time but here's some professional and some not so professional shots of some our newest babies. I've also added some pieces that we only offer in the store. We only offer some in very limited quantities, so not only are they gorgeous, but you'll probably be one of the only lucky ladies to ever get to rock them. Scroll down to peep these gems. The pheasant was kind enough to let me shoot him with some on.

See below. It's about to get real. This is just the beginning, people.

I know, I know, you can close your jaw now. Kim's done it again! Here's the rundown:

Chief Joseph Ring: Sterling Silver, offered in sizes 6, 7, and 8. $240 (my new favorite ring is swiftly becoming the new middle finger staple. My wolfette's starting to feel a little left out)

Feather Cuff: Sterling Silver, $625, this bracelet has to be seen in person. It's really beautiful.

Arrow Locket: Sterling Silver, $170, this is the first locket Kim has ever done. What you can't see is the adorable little horseshoe on the clasp that makes for the perfect little accent on the necklace.

Sting Ray Cuff: Sterling Silver and 18kt Gold Vermeil, $725 (As a side note, this cuff is just the start of something great. We have a sting ray necklace, earrings, and another incredibly sick ring coming out as well. Trust me on this one, you should start saving your money now....)
Ribbon Cuff: Sterling Silver, $345
Shield Earrings: Sterling Silver, $55

Leaf Bracelet: 18kt Gold Vermeil, $450
If you're a Kimberly Baker junkie, you will probably recognize this piece. It's a bracelet that we carried long ago and have since taken it out of the line. It's been brought back in gold and we think it's better than ever!

Tri-Color Chain Necklace: SS, 18kt GV, & OX-SS, $400
Make Mr. T proud with this beast.

SALE: Lauren Wolf Baby Goddess Pendant Necklace, Sterling Silver, was $296, now $148
During the holidays, we carried some pieces from Brooklyn designer, Lauren Wolf. This is the last remnant from that collection. It's a really cool piece that measures 18" long. To see more of her work, check out her website, www.laurenwolfjewelry.com.

summer summertime.

Okay...

Let's get to it. After weeks of some trouble with our new scanner, I've finally mastered the art of scanning some new press. We've been pretty popular recently and here's some shots to show you.

We were recently featured in the May issue of NYLON Magazine as part of a Gossip Girl spread. In case you've been living in a cave, GG is the newest teen soap that just recently finished its first season on the CW. We were lucky enough to have our pieces so beautifully featured on the show and they chose our stuff to style this shoot as well:

Here's a rundown of the jewelry on the ladies in these shots. First picture: Blake aka Serena is wearing the Anais Necklace in 18kt GV. Second picture: Blake has on the Maude ring in 18kt GV, aka her "signature S ring." Third Picture: Leighton aka Blair is wearing the Dolly Necklace in Sterling Silver. Final Picture: Blake is wearing the Wolfette in 18kt GV.

We were also featured in the May issue of CosmoGIRL with actress, Brittany Snow on the cover.

First Picture: Brittany is wearing the Maude Ring in Sterling Silver. Second Picture: Victoria Bracelet in Sterling Silver, Keiko Ring in Sterling Silver, and the Maude Ring again. Final Picture: Sienna Necklace, Bun-Bun Necklace in Sterling Silver, and Lizzy Bracelet in Sterling Silver.

And, finally, here's a shot from USWeekly with Michelle Trachtenburg, who plays the evil Georgina on GG, hanging out in NYC with her Wolfette.

There you have it. You're officially, well almost, completely caught up on our press. Whew. We are also on the cover of NYLON this month with Scarlett Johannsen on the cover. Peep the Rose Ruby ring she's wearing. As soon as I get my hands on it, I'll have it up too.

Have a good rest of your weekend, friends. If you live in Seattle, pray for some sun. Happy Father's Day!
